We are thrilled to announce that CHLDC has received an unprecedented $8 million unrestricted gift from renowned philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. This incredible one time donation is an investment in the future of our hard-working, community based organization and in the East New York neighborhood. It is also a powerful acknowledgment of the impactful work of the organization in poverty fighting, workforce development, youth and family services, college access and persistence, housing advocacy and affordable housing preservation/development, urban agriculture, public health and community organizing. It is a testament to the tireless dedication of our staff, volunteers, and community partners. We are grateful for this amazing opportunity to sustain and strengthen our programs and services, ensuring that we continue to empower residents and uplift our community for generations to come.
